About Annette

Hi, I’m Annette. My kitchen is shaped by the two very different worlds I grew up in. From my Japanese mother, I learned precision, tradition, and the belief that every meal deserves beauty and intention. From my French‑speaking Cajun father, I learned strength, resourcefulness, and the magic of must‑goes cooking—open the fridge, grab what needs to go, and somehow create something unforgettable.

With a childhood full of contrasting cultures, flavors, and philosophies, it’s no surprise that food became one of the great passions of my life. I don’t just cook, I create. For years I’ve made meals by instinct, rarely measuring, always improvising with whatever I had on hand. After countless requests for recipes, I finally decided to start writing everything down, whether it’s a dish from my childhood, something I tasted in a restaurant, or a must‑goes masterpiece born from whatever was in the fridge that day.

Zigeze is all about food, fun, and ease in the kitchen.

My kitchen is a place where groceries turn into meals, where friends gather, and where family reconnects. Every recipe you find here is something I’ve made and served from my kitchen at home, most often using the same products and ingredients I recommend. I’m always expanding my collection of tools, gadgets, and resources to make cooking and entertaining simple, joyful, and approachable.

I’m thrilled to have you here as I capture everyday home cooking at its best — from my kitchen to yours.

Tie on your apron and enjoy the journey with me.
